Thousand Islands National Park

Introduction

Thousand Islands National Park is one of Canada's smallest national parks. On the St. Lawrence River's Thousand Islands region, it features about 20 granite islands with green water, forested isles, the historic Thousand Islands Tower and rich water activities — a unique river destination in Ontario. The Thousand Islands region has about 1,800 islands of all sizes. The park protects about 20 major islands. Highlights include Thousand Islands Tower (about 40 m, panoramic views) and the Thousand Islands Bridge (Canada-US crossing). Boat cruises are the best way to experience the islands — from Brockville or Kingston. Visiting to cruise among the green islands is a delightful Ontario experience.
