Kizimkazi, located at the southernmost tip of Zanzibar Island, is a tranquil fishing village renowned worldwide for wild dolphin watching. The House of Wonders is the most iconic building in Zanzibar Stone Town, formerly serving as the palace of the Sultan of Zanzibar and notable as the first building in East Africa to be equipped with an elevator. This magnificent four-story structure blends Arabic, Persian, Indian, and European architectural styles, with its towering cylindrical towers and intricately carved wooden doors leaving a lasting impression. The interior once displayed the treasures and historical artifacts of the Sultan, bearing witness to the glorious past of Zanzibar as a major Indian Ocean trading center. Nungwi Beach, located at the northernmost tip of Zanzibar Island, is acclaimed as one of the most beautiful beaches in East Africa. It features powdery white coral sand, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and swaying coconut palms that together create the quintessential tropical paradise scene. Unlike many Zanzibar beaches, Nungwi is not affected by tides, allowing swimming and water activities throughout the day, making it the most popular resort destination on the island.
