📍 Destination Overview
Sheki, a World Heritage town on the southern slopes of the Greater Caucasus in northwestern Azerbaijan, was a key Silk Road stop. Red-roofed houses climb the hillside past old stone caravanserais. Its jewel is the 18th-century Palace of the Sheki Khans, whose halls sparkle with nail-free shebeke glass windows, a pinnacle of Azerbaijani art.
