📍 Destination Overview
Burgos, on the Arlanzon River in northern Spain, was once capital of the Kingdom of Castile. Its cathedral is the peak of Spanish Gothic, its 84-meter towers, stained glass and star vault an architectural poem, and Spain's only cathedral individually listed as World Heritage, housing the tomb of El Cid. The old town also lies on the road to Santiago.
