Songdo Central Park is the green heart of Incheon's Songdo International City, modelled on New York's Central Park and wrapped around a man-made lake, the urban lung of this reclaimed new town. Incheon Chinatown, in Jung-gu, is Korea's largest, formed after the port opened in 1884 and Chinese settlers moved in, with Freedom Park just up the hill. Pass the red Zhonghua Street gate and Chinese-style buildings line the main drag: Uisung Restaurant birthed Korea's jajangmyeon here, and sweet-and-sour pork and seafood noodles perfume the air. The old Chinese consulate building and Three Kingdoms mural street tell a century of overseas Chinese history. Steps lead up to Freedom Park on Mount Eungbong, overlooking Incheon Harbour and the skyline. Come early in the morning to dodge weekend queues, then ride the Wolmido monorail for sea views — the classic Incheon half-day.

Wolmido is a lively, relaxing seaside retreat in Incheon, with a cultural street, amusement park and open sea views—a vibrant spot of the city. Wolmido Island sits by Incheon's coast (now connected to the mainland) and is a beloved seaside leisure and entertainment destination. Its highlight is the lively Wolmido Culture Street along the coast: a scenic seaside promenade where you stroll while taking in the open harbor and sea (the broad bay, passing boats and splendid sea sunsets), lined with seafood restaurants, cafés and nostalgic retro quarters. Another draw is the lively seaside amusement park (Wolmi Theme Park) with a Ferris wheel, pirate ship, disco and more—fun for all ages, especially the sea-view Ferris wheel. Wolmido is also a port for ferries to nearby islands (such as Yeongjong Island for sunsets). Open sea views, a lively culture street, a happy amusement park and a relaxed seaside atmosphere make it a vibrant coastal escape.

The Incheon Landing Operation Memorial Hall stands near Wolmido in Michuhol-gu, Incheon, built to honour the September 1950 amphibious landing commanded by General MacArthur during the Korean War. Indoor exhibits use artefacts, scale models and footage to recreate the landing craft hitting the beach, paratroop drops and the turning point that reversed the war's course, while outdoor grounds display landing craft, tanks and aircraft. From nearby Wolmido you can gaze across the very waters stormed on D-Day, making it a key site for understanding modern Korea's fateful pivot. The grounds are free to enter and pair well with Wolmido's amusement park and café street, ideal for families and history buffs alike. Inside, an education hall runs regular study programmes for students, making it Incheon's representative site for national-defence learning.

Incheon Chinatown is Korea's largest surviving Chinatown, formed with the late-19th-century port opening and the Qing concession, marked by red-and-yellow gates, a jajangmyeon museum and a Sun Wukong statue. Here you taste the birthplace of Korean-Chinese noodles called jjajangmyeon, sugar pancakes and Chinese sweets; lantern festivals at Lunar New Year and Chuseok are lively. Built on a slope near Freedom Park and Wolmido, it is the most foreign-flavoured stop on the Seoul-Incheon line.

A 700-metre crescent on the west side of Yeongjong Island, Eurwangni sits about twenty minutes by car from Incheon Airport - literally the beach beside the airport. At low tide the flats widen for clam-digging families and gulls; at dusk the sunset stains the water orange while bridge lights blink on in the distance, making this Incheon's number-one sunset spot. Grilled-shellfish restaurants and sea-view cafés crowd the slope behind the sand, ideal for a layover half-day.
