No.1 Xi'an
Small Wild Goose Pagoda
The Small Wild Goose Pagoda (Jianfu Temple Pagoda), in Beilin, Xi'an, Shaanxi, China, was built in 707–710 during the Tang to house sutras brought from India by the monk Yijing — a masterpiece of Tang dense-eave brick pagodas, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2014 as part of the Silk Roads. About 43 m with fifteen graceful eaves, it has withstood millennia of earthquakes; its 'pagoda morning bell' is one of the 'Eight Views of Guanzhong.' The Jianfu Temple's ancient trees and the adjacent Xi'an Museum make it a quiet place in the city to read Tang Buddhist grace and Silk Road spirit.

Xi'an Museum
Xi'an Museum, on Youyi West Road in Beilin, Xi'an, opened in 2007, is a local comprehensive museum centered on the millennial history of this ancient capital, comprising the museum, the Jianfu Temple and the Small Wild Goose Pagoda. Its 'Ancient Capital Xi'an' exhibition traces the city's story from Zhou, Qin, Han and Tang to the Ming-Qing eras with precious artifacts; the Tang-era Small Wild Goose Pagoda is a UNESCO-listed brick pagoda. Temple, pagoda and modern galleries meet in a tranquil setting, free by reservation — an elegant place in the city to read Chang'an and feel the Tang-Silk-Road legacy, and a fine stop for family learning and in-depth culture.

Xi'an City Wall
Xi'an City Wall stands in Xi'an, Shaanxi, China, the largest and best-preserved ancient city wall surviving in the country. First built in the Sui–Tang era and rebuilt under the Ming Hongwu reign, it stretches about 13.7 km with a height near 12 m. The broad rampart could host chariots; four main gates — Changle, Anyuan, Yongning, Anding — plus corner and watchtowers and barbicans. Walk or cycle atop for views of the old city's grid and the moat — a defining relic of millennial Chang'an.

Shaanxi History Museum
The Shaanxi History Museum is located at 91 Xiaozhai East Road in Yanta District, Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, and is a large history museum known for relics of the Zhou, Qin, Han and Tang dynasties. Its buildings follow a Tang-inspired style with broad roofs and restrained colors that echo the historic atmosphere of the ancient capital. The collection is extensive, covering bronzes, gold and silver wares, pottery figurines, murals and coins, and it traces the history of the Shaanxi region from ancient times to the Ming and Qing dynasties. The permanent exhibition is arranged chronologically, with Tang gold and silver objects and fine murals drawing particular attention. It is best to view the permanent exhibition first to grasp the overall context, then choose themed galleries of interest and plan your route to avoid the busiest hours.
