Parque los Tecajetes
Parque los Tecajetes is a historic public green in central Xalapa (Jalapa), named for the several springs (ojos de agua) welling up underground. Shaded and threaded with paths, it is where residents of this misty mountain city stroll and relax, close to the University of Veracruz and several cultural venues.

Museo de Antropología de Xalapa
The Museo de Antropología de Xalapa is Mexico's second largest anthropology museum after the national one in Mexico City, focused on the three ancient cultures of the Veracruz gulf coast: Olmec, Totonac and Huastec. Designed by an American architectural practice, its galleries unfold down a gently stepped spine opening onto gardens on both sides, filled with daylight. The collection's core is seven colossal Olmec heads, together with a wealth of smiling Totonac figurines and Huastec sculpture.
