📍 Destination Overview

Blagaj, ten kilometres southeast of Mostar, is a tranquil, ethereal Herzegovina hideaway. A near-vertical grey limestone cliff towers into the clouds; at its foot nestles the white Dervish Tekke, a Sufi monastery. More magical still, the green Buna river gushes straight from a great cave at the cliff base, one of Europe's largest springs. Visit inside or boat into the cave.
