Only about 30 minutes from Dubrovnik yet tranquil and less crowded, it is best visited in summer–autumn (May–Oct). Don't miss the stone-walled Ottoman old town, the leisurely café square shaded by tall plane trees, the multi-arch Ottoman old stone bridge over the green Trebišnjica River, and the hilltop monastery overlooking the whole town. With abundant sunshine, the surrounding area is a Bosnian wine region where you can taste wine at the estates. It works well as a day trip from the Dubrovnik suburbs.
