El Valle is located in central Panama, about two hours' drive from Panama City. It is a cool and pleasant valley town. The most unique thing is that the entire town is located at the bottom of a huge long-extinct ancient volcanic crater (one of the few inhabited volcanic craters in the world) - surrounded by volcanic craters. Surrounded by green mountains formed by the wall, the climate at higher altitudes is mild and cool all year round. With its pleasant climate, lush flowers and trees, weekend handicraft markets, hot springs, waterfalls and other idyllic scenery, it has become a popular place for Panamanians to escape the humid heat of the lowlands. It is cool all year round, and the dry season is better from December to April. The valley is flat and green, surrounded by green mountains (La India Dormida, whose outline resembles a sleeping girl, is particularly famous and can be hiked), with lush flowers and trees that are evergreen all year round. The busiest thing is the weekend (especially Sunday) handicraft market, which sells gorgeous handicrafts, pottery, weaving, orchids, fruits and local products. In the surrounding area there are hot springs, the waterfall Chorro El Macho, an orchid garden, a butterfly garden, and a nature center where you can find the national treasure golden frog. US dollars are common. Prices are for reference only.
