Mackenzie House is the former home of William Lyon Mackenzie, the radical journalist and leader of the 1837 Upper Canada Rebellion who became Toronto's first mayor. Located on Bond Street just east of Yonge, the museum recreates mid-19th-century home life and newspaper printing, and offers hands-on printshop workshops. Its historic rooms are currently under restoration, while free drop-in printshop workshops remain available.
