Miles Canyon is located on the Yukon River approximately 6 miles north of Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada. It is a narrow canyon formed of basalt. The rushing waters of the Yukon River create spectacular rapids as they pass through the canyon, which was a major hazard for gold prospectors during the Klondike Gold Rush. The canyon is spanned by the Robert Lowe Suspension Bridge, built in 1922, from which visitors can overlook the canyon and the Yukon River.
