Notre-Dame-des-Victoires Church (Église Notre-Dame-des-Victoires) is located at Place Royale in Lower Town Québec City. Construction began in 1688, making it one of the oldest surviving stone churches in North America. The church was damaged during the 1759 British-French war, rebuilt twice, and the current building was restored in 1929. Its name commemorates two French military victories over the British in 1690 and 1711, and it is the centerpiece of the Place Royale historic district.
