Introduction
Ontario Place, on Lake Shore Boulevard West beside the lake in Toronto, is a roughly 155-acre waterfront public recreational site owned by the Ontario government. Within it, the well-known Trillium Park and the William G. Davis Trail form a new free public waterfront park featuring a 1.3-km pathway, fire pits, a polymer skating/event surface, and green space, with views of Lake Ontario and the downtown Toronto skyline. Ontario Place as a whole is currently undergoing large-scale redevelopment, and some areas such as the iconic Cinesphere dome theatre and themed facilities are temporarily closed, but the free public green space and trail remain open year-round as a pleasant waterfront leisure spot.
