Introduction
The Sala de Arte Público Siqueiros was the home and studio of David Alfaro Siqueiros, one of the big three Mexican muralists, who in 1969 donated the property together with all his works and archives to the nation. His late-period studio and unfinished canvases remain in place, while the exterior carries the large collage mural he designed. Siqueiros argued that art should leave the gallery for public space; the house is both his workplace and a physical footnote to that argument.
