Introduction
Chibana Castle Ruins (Chibana Gusuku) stand on a limestone hill in the Chibana district of Okinawa City, the seat of the Chibana anji around the 14th century. Most walls have vanished, but the tomb of the warrior Oni-Ufugusuku is said to lie on the slope, and a hilltop deck built in the 1960s surveys Kadena Base and the surrounding coast.
