Introduction
Sanko Shrine in Tamatsukuri, Chuo-ku, Osaka, worships the Sanko Kojin (sun, moon and star), and is known to Sengoku-history fans for the 'Sanada-maru' fort remains where Sanada Yukimura held out in the Siege of Osaka. A bronze Yukimura statue and the 'Sanada well' stand in the grounds — said to have supplied him in need — and the shrine is famed for martial and victory prayers, a compact stop in Tamatsukuri beside the nearby Tamatsukuri Inari Shrine.
