Introduction

Myeong-Dong Catholic Cathedral is the mother church of Korean Catholicism and the main cathedral of the Seoul Diocese. Built in 1898, it is the first Western-style church building in Korean history, designed in Gothic style with distinctive red brick exterior and pointed arch windows creating a striking visual identity.
