Introduction

Turning Torso rises about 190 m across 54 floors, designed by architect Santiago Calatrava and completed in 2005; for years it was the tallest building in Scandinavia. Its nine cubic segments twist nearly 90 degrees from base to top like a dancing sculpture — a symbol of Malmö's Western Harbour renewal and of contemporary Swedish landmark architecture.
