Introduction
The glow worm cave is in Springbrook National Park in the Gold Coast hinterland, officially known as Natural Bridge. A rock arch carved by water over time shelters glow worms (in fact glowing larvae) on its ceiling, which give off a blue-green light in the dark. The site is best known for night visits, though by day you can also see the waterfall and the rock formations. Access is by car, with the last stretch on a mountain road. The glow worms are sensitive to light and disturbance, so follow the rules while viewing; conditions are subject to on-site notices.
