📍 Destination Overview
Rabat, Morocco's capital on the Atlantic, is calmer, tidier and more elegant than Marrakesh or Fez; tree-lined avenues earn it the 'garden city' name, and both old and new towns are UNESCO-listed. The blue-and-white Kasbah of the Udayas hides tranquil gardens, while the unfinished Hassan Tower evokes a storied past.

St. Peter's Church
St. Peter's Church dominates the Grote Markt of Leuven, a 15th-century Brabantine Gothic masterpiece whose three towers were never finished because of the soft, unstable ground — leaving a flat-topped silhouette that is now its signature. Step inside to see Dieric Bouts' 'Last Supper' triptych still in its original chapel, the ornate stone tabernacle by Mattheus de Layens, and the tombs of Duke Henry I of Brabant. The belfry was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1999, and since 2020 the restored church doubles as a digital museum with tablets and HoloLens guides.
