Lhasa Travel Guide

Lhasa, capital of Tibet, is known for the Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple, revealing Tibetan Buddhism at the world's rooftop.

📍 Destination Overview

Lhasa, Tibet's capital and political-religious centre, is crowned by the Potala Palace, its red-and-white halls on Red Hill, a UNESCO site. The Jokhang Temple houses the sacred twelve-year-old Shakyamuni statue, circled by the holy Barkhor path. Sera's monk debates, Norbulingka's gardens, Tibetan cuisine and sweet tea make it profoundly cultural.
