Horseshoe Bend is a near-360° horseshoe bend of the Colorado River near Page, where emerald water is cradled by 100 m ochre-red cliffs — like a giant boot stepping into the desert, among the plateau's most photogenic scenes. A ~1.2 km sandy walk from the lot reaches the rim for an unobstructed view of the jade arc; at sunset the water gilds and cliffs blaze, most dramatic. The edge has no railings, so visitors must self-regulate distance. With Upper/Lower Antelope Canyon and Lake Powell, it forms Page's 'photography golden triangle'.
