Introduction

Taejongdae, at the southern tip of Yeongdo Island in Busan, is a coastal nature park famed for magnificent, rugged sea-eroded cliffs and open sea views. This cape is a spectacular, primitive sea-eroded landform: the rugged, steep, spectacular cliffs carved by the sea over millennia rise along the open blue surging sea; the dark, layered, rugged cliffs, the crashing waves and the open sea and sky form a magnificent, precipitous, primitive and stunning cliff scene (on clear days you may even see Tsushima Island). On the cape stands a pretty white lighthouse (Taejongdae Lighthouse) and pretty viewing platforms; a coastal trail and road wind through the green coastal forest (you can walk or ride the fun Danubi Train to circle the cape, enjoying the magnificent cliffs and sea). The spectacular cliffs, open sea, pretty lighthouse and green coast together form a magnificent, precipitous yet beautiful coastal scene.
