Introduction

The Museu de Arte de Sao Paulo Assis Chateaubriand (MASP) stands at Avenida Paulista 1578 in Sao Paulo and is one of Latin America's most important art institutions. Founded in 1947 by the press magnate Assis Chateaubriand and the Italian critic Pietro Maria Bardi, it holds more than 11,000 works.
