Introduction

The Pyramid of Khafre, Giza's second great pyramid, was built for the pharaoh Khafre. Set on higher ground and still capped with limestone at its apex, it often appears the tallest from a distance. With its valley temple and the Great Sphinx, it forms a funerary complex that glows at sunset.
