Introduction
The waterfront belt of Panama City runs along the Pacific shore and is known as the Cinta Costera. Made up of a seaside promenade, green spaces, viewpoints and leisure facilities, it links the old town with the modern city and is a favourite place for locals to walk, cycle and watch the sea. Along the route you can see modern high-rises and a marina of yachts, and look out toward the Bridge of the Americas and passing ships. It is lively with joggers and cyclists by day and crowds gather for sunsets and evening runs. The area is open and free, easy to reach, and suits an hour or two of strolling along the coast.
